Reverse the warp polarity

I wonder what the chances are that BP is deliberately not sealing the leak, because sealing it quickly and decisively would mean that the oil there definitively cannot be recovered in the future.
Given the craven depredations of modern capitalism, I’d give this a small, but real, chance of being the case — say 20%.
