Don’t touch LCD screens.

They are very, very easy to damage. I hate when people do this at work. I just want to punch them.

The only LCDs it’s safe to touch are those designed specifically for it. Otherwise, it only takes a pound or so of pressure to damage an LCD quite badly.*

Also, oil from your fingers damages the coating even if no other damage occurs.

*Working as a Dell laptop technician in a temp job for a few months, I saw dozens of these in that time, where people had pointed at something or grabbed their screen, and broken it. “But I barely touched it!” was the usual plaint.
